Located at Sydney Polo Club, Chelsea and Cameron’s wedding was a unique combination of old fashioned elegance and detail that was beautiful and engaging to shoot on camera.
Hitting off the day with a game of pool (literally), the boys prepared with laughs and the company of a canine groomsman. With equally easy-going vibes, the bridal party began their afternoon of glamour.
Sydney Polo Club is renowned for their photogenic landscape having featured in films such as the Great Gatsby; the incredible venue is just about an hour outside Sydney. Perfectly complimenting the venue, I definitely noticed Chelsea and Cameron’s Gatsby inspired detail throughout the day, including the Cabriolette cars, elegant 20s’ style up do’s and sparkling chandeliers.
The ceremony was held in the Polo Club’s grandstand, followed by the reception in the Polo Barn where the tables were dressed impeccably with touches of red to match and fairy lights decorating the roof.
The polo club, fields and grandstand were a very interesting to background to work with. The combination of cool colours, silhouettes of the puffy bridesmaid dresses against dramatic clouds in the sky inspired me to take a number of wide shots, while I also wanted to capture the detail of Chelsea’s jewellery and décor.
Chelsea and Cameron did an amazing job planning their very special day, making sure every aspect of the wedding was reflective of the vibrant, cheerful attitudes consistent through the day.
