The Historic Como Hotel Wedding - Gemma & Matthew

The Historic Como Hotel is one of the oldest buildings in the Sutherland Shire Sydney and where Gemma & Matthews and all their family and friends partied the night away. After a beautiful garden ceremony in Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre in Gymea, we headed down to Como Pleasure Grounds where we were able to get some photographs while the skies put on a show. Wish them all the best for their future.

The Rocks & Martin Place Engagement Shoot - Kathryn & Ace

The Rocks in Sydney is always a fantastic place for either pre-wedding or wedding photography. Kathryn & Ace chose to have their pre-wedding photography shoot in The Rocks because of the rustic old buildings and lane ways. We were planing to have the shoot the week before but with the shocking weather Sydney had, we decided to postpone and we were gifted with a beautiful day. Pre-wedding shoots are always fun and relaxed and I had a ball photographing them. Looking forward to shooting their wedding in April next year.

Cockatoo Island Engagement Shoot - Barsha & Mauran

Cockatoo Island is one of my favourite locations to photograph in Sydney.  A quick ferry ride and we are surrounded by amazing old industrial buildings and fun pockets of light to photograph in. I had an great time photographing Barsha & Mauran pre-wedding shoot there and highly recommend Cockatoo Island for wedding photography or pre-wedding photography.

Aqua Dining Wedding - Keira & Charles

Aqua Dining is one of my favourite reception venues with fantastic views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city. I have known Charles since school and was very honored Keira and Charles asked me to photographed their wedding. The ceremony was held at St Mary's Cathedral and location photos were at Lavender Bay wharf and Luna Park.

Bivianos Dural Wedding - Vanessa & Ben

This weekend I shot a lovely wedding at Bivianos Dural 45 minutes drive from Sydney. Vanessa & Ben's families were so awesome and relaxed they made me feel part of the family. Everything about the day was perfect, with the weather holding off, a beautiful ceremony at Our lady Of Victories and Bivianos served some amazing food! Enjoy the photos.

Bathers Pavilion Wedding - Carly & David

Rain Rain Go Away... It was a very wet day for Carly and David's wedding, but thankfully we were able to dart between the showers and celebrate their beautiful wedding day. Throughout the ceremony at St Clements Church in Mosman, as well as during the reception at Bather's Pavilion in Balmoral the heavens well and truly opened. Luckily it cleared enough for most of the location shoot, allowing us to make the most of the splendour of Balmoral Beach. When the rain did come, out came the umbrellas and Carly, David and their bridal party were troopers to face the rain to get some stunning photos. At every wedding, I keep my eyes open for a 'magic shot'- at 10pm, mid dance, I pulled Carly and David out into the pouring rain. The definition of good sports, the couple embraced the opportunity and we were able to capture a spectacular image of their loving silhouette in a private moment caught in the downpour. They both loved the image and I have to say, its definitely one of my favourites. It's meant to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day. Judging by the love and energy between Carly and David on their special day, I'd say they are among the luckiest.

Royal Botanic Gardens Wedding - Clare & Craig

With fantastic views over Sydney harbour and the city, the Royal Botanic Gardens was perfect location for Clare and Craig's wedding ceremony. The iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House made an incredible background to an intimate ceremony and when Craig dipped Clare for the first kiss, it really was a picture perfect moment. We then walked around the Royal Botanic Gardens for the location shoot. The Gardens always provide plenty of interesting and beautiful spots to photograph. After The Royal Botanic Gardens, we then moved onto The Rocks under the Harbour Bridge. It made a dramatic change from the greener garden background to the more industrial stone and metal,  giving the overall album some great variety. The reception was held at Dockside Cockle Bay. The venue was beautifully decked out and perfectly matched the elegance of the day. Clare and Craig, I wish you all the best on this new chapter of your lives.

St Michael's Golf Course Wedding - Helen & Daniel

St Michael's Golf Course was the setting for Helen & Daniel's Wedding. St Michael's Golf Course is located in Little Bay, Sydney and has beautiful views over the sea.

“All of the photo's are truly excellent and have perfectly captured our day. The photographs you took of us on the cliffs were amazing and exceeded our expectations by a long way”

The ceremony was held on the putting green directly  infront of the reception venue which meant everything was located nice and close. With the guests having cocktail hour we headed off in the golf buggies for the location shoot around the golf course. The wedding party had great fun driving the convoy of four golf buggies around the golf course, even if it did nearly turn into bumper cars. St Michael's Golf Course has some amazing cliffs which drop off into the sea and the beautiful fairways make amazing backgrounds for photos. I wish Helen & Daniel all the best for their future, I really enjoyed photographing their wedding.

Moby Dicks Wedding - Julie & Dean

Moby Dicks is a fantastic venue located at Whale Beach on the northern beaches of Sydney. Moby Dicks has amazing views over Whale Beach and has an intimate little garden which is perfect for the ceremony with close family and friends. Moby Dicks always has fantastic decor and Julie's father, who was a florist, added their own touches with the stunning flower decorations. We had the location shoot down on Whale Beach itself, which I think is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Northen Beaches. The immense sandstone wall and a tidal pool at the south end of the beach, always allow for fun and visually impressive photographs. I love the contrast the sandstone wall gave against Julie's white dress and Dean's blue suit. We had a lot of fun frolicking on Whale Beach taking the shots with the whole wedding party. Lots of laughs were had on the day. I wish Julie and Dean all the best in their married life together.

Eden Gardens Wedding - Michelle & Alston

Surrounded by the lush greenery of Eden Gardens, Michelle and Alston tied the knot in the company of their friends and family. Eden Gardens is an award-winning display garden in Ryde with unique display gardens that provide a wonderfully picturesque setting for a wedding. Michelle and Alston chose to have their ceremony in the amphitheater of Eden Gardens, making for a rather dramatic location. Having their guests surround them in a semi circle made the ceremony feel very intimate, you could feel the love. The ceremony was full of laughs and tears, and you could tell the couple's nearest and dearest were thrilled to share their big day. The reception venue at Eden Gardens is amazing, the outdoor terrace was a perfect way to finish off a magnificent day with all the guests together under the stars, dancing in the moonlight.

Star Room Cockle Bay Wedding - Jenny & Daniel

Star Room Cockle Bay is perched above the IMAX theatre complex and has 180 degree views of Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay. This fantastic setting is where Jenny & Daniel partied the night away with fantastic family and friends. Earlier in the day their ceremony was held in St Leonards Church in Naremburn. The couple's guests packed the pews and proved to be a warm and loving audience to declare their love for each other in front of. We went down to Lavender Bay foreshore for the locations shoot. This stunning area of Sydney has a fantastic array of parks and water front walks that give a variety of places for photos. The jetty, stonewall, beautiful tall fig trees and cityscape  are just some of the compositional elements that I love to use in this area. It was then time to party- we met the guests at Star Room Cockle  Bay, a truly awe-inspiring venue. The sunset over the harbour and the panoramic views wowed one and all. Congratulations Jenny and Daniel, it was a beautiful day. I wish you all the best for the future.

Lagoon Seafood Restaurant Wedding - Linda & Adam

Lagoon Seafood Restaurant in Stuart Park North Wollongong was the setting for Linda & Adam’s wedding. The ceremony was originally planned to be out the front of Lagoon Seafood Restaurant, under the huge pine trees where Fairy Creek Lagoon meets the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate and as Linda walked down the aisle the skies opened. Quickly the ceremony was moved inside the restaurant, where the reception was to be held. More intimate, the change of location didn't phase the happy couple and their guests were treated to a beautiful ceremony. Of course once we got into the venue the rain stopped and the skies cleared. We were able to head outside for some location shots while guests were treated to canapes on the decking that looked over the ocean. Regardless of the weather, the venue is an amazing place to have a wedding and the seafood is fantastic. Mother Nature couldn't dampen the love between Linda and Adam and regardless of the weather, a beautiful day was had by all.

Echoes Boutique Hotel Wedding - Jamie & Erhun

Echoes Boutique Hotel

Echoes Boutique Hotel in the Blue Mountains was the setting for Jamie and Erhun’s wedding. The venue has spectacular views looking over the Blue Mountains and provided  the perfect place for the couple to say 'I do' surrounded by their family and friends. Having the ceremony and reception in the same location made the day flow smoothly and a truly  enjoyable celebration. Jamie helped design her stunning wedding dress and you could tell it suited her bubbly personality perfectly. With Erhun as a dashing groom, the couple were a dream to photograph and made for some amazing pictures. I highly recommend Echoes Boutique Hotel to couples looking for a intimate venue with lots of character and wow-factor. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Dunbar House Watsons Bay Wedding - Louisa & Jeff

Dunbar House was the setting for Louisa & Jeff's wedding. The ceremony was held on the lawn under the iconic giant fig tree with fantastic views of Sydney Harbour providing a stunning backdrop. It is an amazing place to have a ceremony, a place I always get excited about when I get to shoot there. Dunbar House has a elegant atmosphere and the decor is beautiful. After the lunch time reception we left Dunbar House and headed to Macquarie Lighthouse and Camp Cove Beach for the location shots. Camp Cove is one of my favorite places to shoot in Sydney, always providing perfect scenes. Having a storm rolling in while we were at Macquarie Lighthouse provided an amazing dramatic sky to use as a backdrop. I highly recommend Dunbar House as a Sydney wedding venue, with two amazing spots so close to use for location shots, it makes it a perfect spot for a wedding. Congratulations Louisa & Jeff.

Taronga Zoo Wedding - Tara & Gary

Tara and Gary chose Taronga Zoo as the venue for their wedding reception. The iconic venue has one of the best panoramic views of Sydney city and has many four legged unique elements that make for a different wedding experience . After the ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mosman, Sydney put on a massive thunder storm as we arrived at Taronga Zoo. Thankfully it cleared up and actually provided some beautiful light for some amazing shots around the zoo. With the zoo closed to public we had the whole place to ourselves. From the rain delay we only had about 30 minutes to run around and get photos at all ends of the zoo. We ran from the Bird Amphitheater to the giraffe enclosure to the elephant house and finally to the old historic entrance. All the animals behaved themselves, particularly the giraffes who curiously oversaw the photo shoot. I think they were actually more interested in eating Tara's bouquet then posing, but anything for good shot! Taronga Zoo Harbourview Ballroom boasts 180 degrees of breath taking views of Sydney Harbour and is a fantastic place to finish off the night with lots of dancing and fun. Tara and Gary, it was a beautiful wedding. All the best for your future together.
